Newly Unwed are a four-piece pop-rock force from Sheffield, crashing onto the scene in 2023 and building a die-hard cult following ever since. What started as two friends messing around in a free studio space quickly morphed into something unstoppable—once they found their missing piece to sit behind the drum kit, there was no looking back.

Their songs pulse with teenage angst, raw energy, and the kind of fast, loud urgency that demands to be heard live. But there’s another side to them too—one that aches beautifully in stripped-back acoustic demos, proving they can hit just as hard in quiet moments.

With influences ranging from Ezra Furman and Mal Blum to The Damned and Queen, Newly Unwed refuse to be boxed in. Some say they’re the rightful heirs to Elastica’s Britpop rebellion, but really, they’re carving out their own legacy.
