FOR 1: Poster (Mat Hook @ The Foundry)
A poster for a gig. That had already happened.

FOR 1: Poster. Printed card. (10 October 2025)
FOR 1 documents an event already dissolved into memory: Mat Hook live at the Foundry, 3 October 2025. The image, painted by local artist Saskia Warnes, is not reportage but residue - an afterimage fixed in ink once the sound had faded and the room returned to function. This poster does not advertise; it insists. It treats the gig not as a commodity to be sold in advance, but as an action completed, a moment that existed regardless of documentation and now demands to be remembered on its own terms.
Released post-facto, FOR 1 is a deliberate inversion of promotional logic and a nod to the détourned origins of Factory Records, whose first artefact was similarly printed after the night it marked. In this sense, FOR 1 is less an object than a position: against anticipation, against utility, against the lie that culture must explain itself beforehand. The poster stands as both trace and provocation - a refusal of the present tense, and a declaration that the meaning of an event is always constructed afterwards, by those who choose to carry it forward.
