Making It Right

ForgeMaster Records is proud to announce the release of FOR 23 - the debut single from rising indie rock band The Kellows.

Released as a limited edition numbered 7” on white vinyl, “I’ll Make It Right” is backed with the B-side “Sapphire” and marks the first physical release from one of the most exciting young bands currently emerging from South Yorkshire’s grassroots scene.

Like many new artists, The Kellows have grown up in an era where music is increasingly treated as disposable - reduced to playlists, algorithms and fractions of pennies per stream. From the outset, one of the conversations between the band and the label was about creating something physical. Something permanent. Something worth owning.

That belief sits at the heart of this release.

Each copy of the single sold provides roughly the same financial reward to the band as around 550 Spotify streams. It is a reminder that while streaming may help people discover music, physical releases, merchandise sales and gig attendance remain the most meaningful ways to directly support emerging artists.

The single comes housed in a hand-numbered sleeve and also includes a download code, combining the collectability of physical music with the convenience of digital listening.

Musically, “I’ll Make It Right” captures the energy and ambition of a young band finding their voice - driving indie rock with hooks, urgency and the sense that this is only the beginning. “Sapphire” meanwhile showcases another side of the band, hinting at the depth and potential still to come.
