An important 7"

We finally have some cold, hard vinyl in our sweaty little hands and it is very exciting.

Getting a record from recording to actually being on your turntable ready to give up it’s delights is actually a very long and tortuous process. There is a pressing plan to negotiate, remastering to do, sleeves to design, publishing to sort out and a whole bunch of other boring business stuff. All of that takes time. Lots of it. Especially when you have a day job to fit in as well.
But after three months of running round sorting things, we finally took delivery of the first outputs of this crazy venture. Today we were handed a solid looking box and looked bemused at it as we weren’t expecting anything. But this box of delights contained something special. Inside were a bunch of test pressings of the first release on ForgeMaster Records.
It doesn’t look much – they don’t do the cover for a test pressing, you just get it all in a very plain white sleeve. But here we finally have our hands on the 7” of ‘Suspended Belief’ by Mat Hook. And glorious it sounds.
We can’t wait for you guys to be able to finally get your hands on it and we’ll do a full release announcement in the next couple of weeks once we’ve settled on a release date (there are still a few bits and pieces to sort out.)
But in the meantime, there is finally a product after all this hard work.
Oh – and we’ve got a couple of extra copies that we might give away in a competition of some kind. Another one to ‘watch this space’.
Yes. This is a cult.
