The Voltz: A City Under Siege

Every so often a band appears that seems to have stepped through a crack in time - not in a nostalgic way, but like they’ve arrived with unfinished business from another era.

That band is The Voltz.
We’re very pleased to announce that The Voltz have joined the ForgeMaster fold, and that their first transmission through the label will arrive on 20 March in the form of a limited edition cassette EP titled We’ll Take This City.
The Voltz deal in the kind of glam-charged electricity that once rattled the windows of every youth club and working men’s hall in Britain. Big hooks. Loud guitars. Boots on the stage. Somewhere between the swagger of early-70s glam and the feeling that rock and roll might still be a revolutionary act if you play it loudly enough.
We’ll Take This City captures that spirit across four tracks:
We’ll Take This City
Over and Done
Magpie
American Eagle (Bootleg Version) — exclusive to this release
The cassette itself is a limited edition double-sleeve release, complete with a digital download of all four tracks, because the future should always arrive carrying a small piece of physical evidence.
There are also some familiar fingerprints across the record. Miles from Orchidelia appears on keyboards on two of the tracks, adding a flash of analogue glow to proceedings.
This release continues our quiet commitment to physical artefacts in a digital world. Small runs. Proper objects. Music you can hold in your hand rather than scroll past.
We’ll Take This City is available to pre-order now from the ForgeMaster store.
The city may not realise it yet, but the takeover has already begun.
